Afterall is based on campus at UAL Central Saint Martins. Our opening hours are Mon–Thurs from 10:00 to 18:00. Please note that all staff work on a part-time basis and so we may not be available at the office on all days. Please contact us to make an appointment if you would like to visit us.

History
Founded in 1998 by Charles Esche and Mark Lewis, Afterall became a UAL Research Centre in 2016. Afterall originated as a publishing project, launching Afterall journal in 1999. The journal offers in-depth analysis of artists’ work alongside contextual essays.
